Not really any good news but we spoke with the Hope Ethiopia Agency again this morning and actually got to talk to the guy who we worked with while we were in Ethiopia. He told us that there have been a lot of issues with this new form that is now required to adopt, because of this the courts are closed this week for training on this form and how to get it??? They do not know anything yet but will let us know what they find out after the courts reopen. He said not to worry..... We know that God has a plan and we just have to wait on him. Please continue to pray that they will be able to get this paper so we can bring our boy home very soon.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

no good news
Last night we stayed up late to call Hope Ethiopia since we haven't heard anything in about 10 weeks now. We finally talked to the secretary who speaks broken english. She was able to tell us that Liam (Tamirat) is doing great, he is very healthy and he is walking. She also told us that the paper that was needed at the court date from his birth country (the one they said was no problem to get) has still not been received. Until this form is received they cannot even file our case with the US Embassy which means after the case is filed it will be another 6-8 weeks before we can go pick Liam up. We are very upset because we thought that our case had already been filed and that we would be picking him up any day now. The agency never told us anything...no news is NOT good news in this case. We are heartbroken that we have no idea when we will get to go get Liam. We cannot get any one to call us or email us to tell us what is going on. We are going to try to call again tonight to see if we can speak to the agent that we worked with while we were there to see if he can tell us anything. The agent we have been working with in the US is out of town still so we cannot talk to him.

week 8
We are on week 8 now with no word on when we are going to get to go pick up Liam. I am so very ready to go get him. I know that God's timing is not our timing and that He knows better than I do so I am trying hard to be patient and wait. But the waiting is getting harder everyday, I check my email about 5 times a day even though it comes to my phone....just in case maybe I missed it. :) I emailed our agency just to see if they had any idea when we would be able to go back but no one has gotten back with me yet, it has only been about 24 hours though.
We are settling in to Texas well, the house is starting to look more and more like home. We have the nursery painted and ready (again) and pretty much have everything unpacked and put away. This has been a crazy year already! My car was hit in the rear while I was driving to Bryan, I was only about 2 hours away, the driver was apparently impaired and just tried to push my car out of his way, of course he did not stop. I am fine but I have been in a rental car for almost 2 weeks. My car was luckily ok to drive so I made it here before I took it to the repair shop, just the trunk and the back bumper and tail light had to be replaced.
Bryan TX is a very nice town, we are only about 5 minutes from College Station the home of Texas A & M so it is a pretty big city to me anyway. Everyone is super friendly, I think that we are really going to like it here. It helps that it has been in the 70's everyday!! WooHoo sorry to ya'll in KY getting snow right now but I am wearing flip flops!
Please keep us in your prayers as we adjust to the move and look for a new church and wait on our Embassy Appt. Also remember the caregivers and the adoption agency as the care for our son and prepare our documents to bring him to the US. Thanks!
